L.E. Graphics create smart way-finding using Applelec's I-Sign range
The Termon Complex is a sports and entertainment centre in the village of Pettigo, which sits on the border between County Donnegal in the Republic of Ireland and County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. The state of the art, multi-use complex provides facilities for the entire community, including a hi-spec gym, sports hall, meeting and conference rooms, outdoor games area, playground and community garden.
The project was awarded 8.3million Euros of support through the PEACE III programme, a scheme that promotes reconciliation between communities and contributes to a shared society through community projects in Northern Ireland and the Border Region of Ireland.
L.E. Graphics were tasked to design and supply signage for both the interior and exterior of the building, including way-finding, fingerpost and wall signage. Due to the uses of the rooms changing frequently, it was crucial that the way-finding signage was easily changeable whilst not looking like temporary signage, for this Applelec’s I-Sign Flex range was the ideal suit. The clean, slim design of the I-Sign Flex frames complimented the architecture of the modern building, providing the look and feel of permanent signage with the ease and functionality of a snap frame. A combination of wall-mounted and hanging I-Sign Flex frames were used throughout the building, each matching with a silver anodized finish and coordinated graphics provided by L.E. Graphics.
On working with Applelec on this project, David Donaldson of L.E. Graphics states: ‘L.E. Graphics have been using Applelec as one of our preferred suppliers since their inception and we are proud to have built such a longstanding relationship with them. I have found Applelec’s professionalism and attention to detail to be reassuring and sourcing from them gives us total confidence in the product which we ultimately attach our name to in the marketplace.’
