Spring sees new faces at Applelec

Applelec is pleased to announce that four new recruits have joined the company across the sales, design, operations and marketing departments.

In staff developments planned to improve customer support, new employees have all joined Applelec from previous roles in the signage and visual communications industries. Matty Bullough joins Applelec in the newly created role of design engineer, Gary Middlemiss joins as operations manager, Conor Bradley is the latest addition to the signs sales team, whilst Lois Edwards joins Applelec as marketing assistant.

Ian Drinkwater, Applelec managing director, said: "Our latest recruits each bring new skills and ideas to our already great team and I'm delighted to welcome them all to the company. Matty's new role of design engineer is a significant step for Applelec and means we can offer a more robust service for customers requiring design support for complex sign projects. In operations, Gary brings valuable and relevant experience that only somebody time-served in the sign industry can bring."

Gary Middlemiss joins Applelec from roles as an estimator in the sign, sheet metal and glass industries. As operations manager, Gary will be focusing on health and safety training along with managing some of our more complex or unusual projects.

Matty Bullough has ten years’ experience in design engineering within the sign industry and a degree in product design. Matty specialises in design for manufacture and will be involved in both new product design at Applelec and customer design support.

Lois Edwards is Applelec's new marketing assistant, joining the company from GAP where she was a visual merchandiser. With a degree in fashion and lifestyle marketing, Lois will be looking after day-to-day marketing activities and brings experience of event management to the role having spent one year as marketing executive for a London lifestyle magazine.

Conor Bradley has worked in the sign industry since beginning an apprenticeship five years ago in metal fabrication and welding which covered steel frameworks, letter building and sign manufacture along with CNC router and laser operation. With five years' factory floor experience, Conor is now putting practical knowledge to good use in his move to a sales assistant role.
