Applelec expand London showroom and introduce OLED lighting scheme

Applelec’s newly expanded London showroom is located at the Business Design Centre and features a lighting scheme utilising almost 100 OLED lights alongside product displays.

Providing an exciting new destination for architects and designers interested in Organic LED technology, the showroom features track mounted OLED modules and pendants that explore the possibilities of lighting with this innovative light source.

The showroom provides an overview of the new LED poster frame range, VM Illumination, which is presented in the UK by Applelec. The range includes double and single-sided LED-lit frames in A-series sizes and a sequence of mounting solutions including cable and rod systems.

The expansion is a major investment for Applelec as the company focuses efforts on increasing its presence in London and the south. Managing director Ian Drinkwater said: ‘Following significant growth in recent years, we have found the need to operate a space in London where our clients can be inspired by the products we offer including OLED, the VM Illumination range and, of course, LED Light Sheet.’

LED Light Sheet product developments are on display with visitors able to see individually addressable and tuneable white panels alongside colour-changing units and the full range of colour temperature LEDs on offer, including those with a CRI of >90. An LED Light Sheet illuminated tableenables visitors to explore the results of lighting different surface materials including decorative glass, CORIAN® and other unique materials.

Applelec’s RIBA accredited CPD, ‘Edge Lighting, the perfect backlighting solution’, can be booked to take place in the showroom along with more informal product presentations.
