Applelec 2022 Eco Initiative

As a responsible manufacturer operating in a sector with high waste material, Applelec are committed to minimising our impact on the environment. We have been running an internal carbon footprint committee for a number of years now, reviewing our practices and putting initiatives in place. However, we also know that there is always more that we all can do to positively influence our impact on the environment.

Inspired by the Earthshot prize, which will challenge the global community over the next decade, to come up with innovative ways to help repair the planet, funding 50 solutions (but inspiring many more) to solve the world’s greatest environmental problems by 2030. Here at Applelec we decided to take on our own earthshot challenge for 2022, which we have encapsulated into our Applelec Eco Friendly pledge.

                                                

This will bring together all the brains and talent we have at Applelec to see what we can achieve as a collective across 2022. Like the Earthshot Prize we have broken this down into 4 focus categories, nature, climate, waste and manufacturing. This pledge shows our commitment to look at various aspects of the business from manufacturing processes, to offering more sustainable material options as well as developing an eco-range of products. We have also partnered with the non-profit community interest company ‘Just One Tree’ to contribute to their reforestation scheme.

           

Having already launched the Green Applelec LED Light Sheet, ECO Lightbox and our Eco Built Up Letters this is just the start for Applelec who are busy making the most of our new product development and manufacturing capabilities to bring even more eco products your way in 2022.
