Applelec join the Made in Britain’s Green Growth Programme

As part of our journey to improve the sustainability of both the business and the products we supply, Applelec have joined the Made in Britain Green Growth programme. Designed specifically for manufacturing companies, the programme supports Made in Britain members in their eco journeys. Involving an industry leading assessment, designed in partnership with Cambridge Judge Business School, it provides insights into where your business excels in sustainability and where you may need more support, against industry benchmarks. The Green Growth Programme subsequently provides a bespoke suite of advice tailored based on your Green Growth survey results. 

Applelec began looking more keenly into sustainability back in 2018, however, during the pandemic we really invested time and money into researching the eco needs of the signage and lighting industry and began developing solutions to improve our products, materials, and manufacturing processes. The outcome spawned our Applelec Eco-Friendly pledge, which includes our partnership with JUST ONE tree, our growing eco-friendly product range including Green Applelec LED Light Sheet, Eco Signage and lightboxes, as well as offering to eco engineer our products with eco-friendly material swaps, such as eco-acrylic. 

As a Made in Britain member, we felt their Green Growth programme supported our endeavour and would provide us with valuable resources to help us achieve our aim of leading the way to a sustainable future.
